Netflix’s upcoming romance Lonely Planet casts Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth to star in the feature written and directed by Susannah Grant.

Part of a multi-year, first-look partnership between Netflix and 3Dot Productions, Lonely Planet is marketed as a love story set in Morocco. Other projects from this duo include the upcoming adaptations of Sarah Vaughan’s Anatomy of a Scandal and Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestseller The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

Susannah Grant is an Oscar and Emmy nominee who has served as showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer for Netflix’s acclaimed limited series Unbelievable. You may also recognize her name from films she has written or co-written, including In Her Shoes, Ever After: A Cinderella Story, and Pocahontas.

Meanwhile, you may know Laura Dern for her role in the classic dinosaur feature Jurassic Park or her Oscar-winning role in Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story. She has also appeared in many other notable projects during her career, including Little Women, The Fault in Our Stars, Lonely Hearts, and Big Little Lies.

Similarly, Liam Hemsworth may be most recognizable from his role in The Hunger Games series, although his career has also included roles in Isn’t It Romantic, The Expendables 2, The Duel, and Most Dangerous Game. Plus, he is set to star in Russell Crowe’s next direction project Poker Face.

Further details concerning Lonely Planet‘s plot have not yet been revealed, but are sure to come in the future. As always, stay tuned for more updates.
