It’s going to be a family affair on Netflix! Rob Lowe and his son, John Owen, are set to star in the upcoming comedy series Unstable.

Via Deadline, the father-son duo will star in the series co-created by themselves and Victor Fresco, who created Santa Clarita Diet. Unstable is set in a biotech research company. John Owen will portray a “socially-challenged son” who works for his successful and “wildly eccentric father,” played by IRL dad, Rob.

Netflix will be producing the series, which is executive produced by the Lowes and Fresco.

Rob and John Owen have worked together before, having previously starred in the FOX legal comedy The Grinder and the Netflix film Holiday In The Wild. John Owen also currently serves as a story editor and writer on 9-1-1: Lone Star, which, of course, stars his dad.

Filming for season 3 of 9-1-1: Lone Star is winding down, with no renewal announced as of yet. With a season 4 likely, the duo’s schedule will be a busy one in the coming months.

There is no other information on Unstable, but stay tuned to Nerds and Beyond for more updates!
