Paramount+ Announces Exciting Casting News About ‘Star Trek: Picard” Season 3
To celebrate First Contact Day yesterday, Paramount+ shared exciting news about the upcoming third series of their show Star Trek: Picard.
The series will reunite the Star Trek: The Next Generation Enterprise’s crew for its last season. LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis and Brent Spiner are all joining Patrick Stewart for the last chapter of the Picard saga.
Terry Matalas, season 3 showrunner and executive producer said:
“I remember watching the premiere of Star Trek: The Next Generation almost 34 years ago with my father like it was yesterday. It was the spark that ignited my love for science fiction, so it’s most fitting that the story of Jean-Luc Picard ends honoring the beginning, with his dearest and most loyal friends from the U.S.S. Enterprise. It would be an understatement to say that giving these characters a proper send-off is an honor. The entire Star Trek: Picard team and I can’t wait for fans to experience this final, high-stakes, starship-bound adventure in season 3!”
Season 2 of Picard recently featured a Next Generation reunion with the return of Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg) and Q (John de Lancie).
The announcement was shared on Twitter yesterday:
Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard is currently streaming on Paramount+. A new episode is released each Thursday.
