Dear reader, it has come to our attention India Ria Amarteifio (Sex Education) has landed the leading role of young Queen Charlotte in the Bridgerton prequel coming to Netflix.
The prequel series, announced in May of 2021, will follow the story of Queen Charlotte’s rise to power starting at her arrival in England to her marriage to King George, sparking a love story for the ages, societal changes, and the world of Bridgerton.
Along with the casting of Queen Charlotte, the prequel has set a complete cast list including Michelle Fairley (Princess Augusta), Corey Mylchreest (Young King George), Arsema Thomas (Young Agatha Danbury), Sam Clemmett (Young Brimsley), Richard Cunningham (Lord Bute), Tunji Kasim (Adolphus), Rob Maloney (Royal Doctor), Cyril Nri (Lord Danbury), and Hugh Sachs (Older Brimsley).
Based on the book series of the same name by Julia Quinn, Bridgerton tells the story of eight close-knit siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family living during the regency era in England as they attempt to find true love.
The Bridgerton prequel is still in the works with no other information outside of casting news.
