Another actor has been announced for the Walker prequel, Walker: Independence, and this time it’s Philemon Chambers! The actor has joined as a series regular, per Deadline.
Jared Padalecki, executive producer, and star of Walker is set to produce the series. Walker‘s showrunner, Anna Fricke, has written the teleplay alongside Walker‘s co-executive producer, Seamus Kevin Fahey. Larry Teng has also been set to executive produce, as well as direct the pilot.
Independence follows Abby Walker, an affluent Bostonian whose husband is murdered before her eyes while on their journey out West. On her quest for revenge, Abby crosses paths with Hoyt Rawlins, a lovable rogue in search of purpose. Abby and Hoyt’s journey takes them to Independence, Texas, where they encounter diverse, eclectic residents running from their own troubled pasts and chasing their dreams. Our newfound family will struggle with the changing world around them while becoming agents of change themselves in a town where nothing is what it seems.
According to Deadline, Chambers is set to play Augustus ‘Gus’, who is the Deputy Sheriff of Independence. Chambers joins the already-announced cast members including Matt Barr, Lawrence Kao, Greg Hovanessian, and Justin Johnson Cortez.
