‘Free Guy’ Coming to Disney+ February 23

Following a theatrical run this summer and becoming available for purchase digitally since November, Free Guy is coming to Disney+ February 23, 2022.

Free Guy was released August 13, 2021, and immediately won the hearts of audiences. The movie follows video game NPC bank teller, Guy who develops free will due to his artificial intelligence programming after meeting the love of his life, Molotov Girl. There are a couple of problems though: Molotov Girl is actually Millie, a real-world person and Free City, the game in which Guy exists, is at risk of being destroyed. Guy and Millie have to go against the clock as they are hunted by Antwan and anything the video game giant can throw at them, including a CGI’d up Reynolds as Dude.

Free Guy is directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn and a story by Lieberman. Ryan Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Taika Waititi, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and more star in this action-comedy based on a digital world. The movie is produced by Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, Sarah Schechter, Greg Berlanti, and Adam Kolbrenner.
