Warner Bros. released a new trailer for The Matrix Resurrections, and it reintroduces a familiar character played by Jada Pinkett Smith.
The latest trailer for the film comes after the announcement of The Matrix Awakens, an interactive tech demo from Unreal Engine 5.
In The Matrix Resurrections from Lana Wachowski, Keanu Reeves and Carrie Anne-Moss reprise their roles as the iconic Neo/Thomas Anderson and Trinity/Tiffany.
Thomas will once again choose to go down the rabbit hole once again to distinguish if his reality is a physical or mental construct. Of course, there’s only one safe way out of the Matrix. This Matrix, however, is stronger and more dangerous than ever. The trailer reveals the return of Pinkett Smith’s Niobe, now much older. She now oversees the welfare of her people, despite a sense of disbelief and suspicion upon Neo’s return.
The Matrix Resurrections cast also includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Morpheus, Jessica Henwick as Bugs, Jonathan Groff as Thomas Anderson’s business partner, Neil Patrick Harris as Thomas’ therapist, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as a young woman with a wisdom that belies her years and an ability to see the truth, no matter how murky the waters.
The Matrix Resurrections opens in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22.
