Since the season 2 finale of Apple’s hit workplace comedy series Mythic Quest aired, fans have been left wondering what’s in store for the future of the show. Thankfully, series star and co-creator Rob McElhenney took to social media for an exciting announcement with some extra special guests.

On a FaceTime call with season 2 guest star Anthony Hopkins, “Ron McElhenney” shares the news that “Mr. Quest” has been picked up for two additional seasons!

Hopkins then ditches his call with McElhenney for a quick chat with the star and co-creator of another hit Apple series, Ted Lasso‘s Jason Sudeikis. (What are the chances of a guest appearance from Hopkins in season 3 of Ted Lasso? Because we can totally see him as an even more conniving, scheming older brother of Rupert.)

The announcement also confirmed that season 3 of Mythic Quest will premiere in 2022, and fans can expect to see it before season 3 of Ted Lasso hits the streaming service.

Mythic Quest is a comedy series that follows the hardworking, driven, hilarious, and sometimes dysfunctional team behind the biggest multiplayer video game of all time. However, in a workplace focused on building worlds, molding heroes, and creating legends, the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game — they happen in the office.

The series stars McElhenney, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Danny Pudi, F. Murray Abraham, Ashly Burch, Jessie Ennis, Imani Hakim, Naomi Ekperigin, and Caitlin McGee.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Mythic Quest are now streaming exclusively on Apple TV+. Check out our episodic recaps here.
