Paul Rudd Disobeys All Boundaries in New Trailer for ‘The Shrink Next Door’
Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell’s upcoming dark comedy limited series, The Shrink Next Door, has debuted a brand new trailer!
Based on true events, and the podcast of the same name, The Shrink Next Door follows the decades-long manipulation of Martin “Marty” Markowitz (Ferrell) by his psychiatrist Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (Rudd).
In an attempt to learn more about creating healthy boundaries, Marty seeks help from Dr. Ike. However, over the course of the next 30 years, Ike’s exploitation of Marty is clear to only one person: Marty’s sister Phyllis played by Emmy-nominated actress Kathryn Hahn. Not even Ike’s unsuspecting wife Bonnie Herschkopf, played by Casey Wilson, is tuned in to exactly what’s going on …
The series is directed by Michael Showalter and Jesse Peretz and written by multiple award-winning screenwriter Georgia Pritchett.
The first three episodes of The Shrink Next Door will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ on November 12, with the subsequent five remaining episodes releasing weekly until December 17.
