‘Outlander’ Releases Teaser Trailer for Season 6

Fans can finally see the light at the end of this droughtlander, as Starz show Outlander releases a teaser for the upcoming sixth season. With the American Revolution looming on the horizon in the past few seasons there is sure to be some major drama for our favorite time traveling family.

Outlander season six seems like it is going to follow the storyline of A Breath of Snow and Ashes, one book of the series by Diana Gabaldon, that the show is originally based off of.

The teaser trailer starts with Jamie and Claire going about their daily lives on their homestead with smiles on their faces. As the video continues we hear the beautiful song “The Water Is Wide” softly playing as we watch Bree and Roger sharing a sweet moment in front of a fireplace. Viewers get a look at newcomer to the series Jessica Reynolds, who will play Malva Christie, as she and Young Ian meet in a field. In a heartwarming moment we see Marsali with a baby in her arms as she places a kiss on Fergus’ head. With everything seeming to be going well Jamie and Claire cozy up in bed, but as fans know the smooth sailing will not last long.

With the words, “It’s starting,” Claire warns viewers of the storm that has been brewing over the last few years around Fraser Ridge. Familiar redcoats make an appearance as the calm moments make way for worried faces and soldiers carrying rifles. Flashes of scenes pass on screen, but the one that will no doubt stick out to fans will be the shot of a limp pail arm hanging as a body is being carried into the house. With many beloved characters at risk we will just have to wait a little longer to see who could possibly lose it all.

This upcoming season will no doubt give fans heart stopping drama alongside moments of true love from Jamie and Claire that we have all come to expect from the award winning series. The sixth season of Outlander will be headed to Starz in early 2022, as no exact date has been announced yet. Make sure to follow Nerds & Beyond to stay up to date on any news!
