‘Vikings: Valhalla’ First Look Released by Netflix

During Netflix’s TUDUM event, the streaming service shared a first look at its upcoming series Vikings: Valhalla.

Vikings: Valhalla is set in the 11th century, 100 years after History’s Vikings series took place. The series ushers in a new age of Vikings, but they make it clear the Vikings are still one. “Now is our time to make history.”

Along with Sam Corlett playing Leif Erikson, other notable Vikings will also be portrayed in the series including Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter), King Canute (Bradley Freegard), Olaf Haraldson (Jóhannes Jóhannesson), Emma of Normandy (Laura Belin), Earl Godwin (David Oakes), Jarl Haakon (Caroline Henderson), Queen (Pollyanna McIntosh), and Jarl Kåre (Asbjørn Korgh Kissen).

Netflix has ordered a total of 24 episodes. Check out the first look at Vikings: Valhalla below.

Vikings: Valhalla will premiere on Netflix in 2022.
