FOX has released the synopsis for the second episode of 9-1-1‘s fifth season, “Desperate Times,” and the episode will likely continue the aftermath of the citywide hacking, which has now turned into a blackout. Meanwhile, Chimney confides in Hen and Athena faces her worst nightmare.
The official description for “Desperate Times” reads:

MONDAY, SEPT. 27 ON FOX
The 118 springs into action when a city-wide blackout and a record heatwave causes mayhem in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Chimney confides in Hen about Maddie’s condition and Athena’s worst nightmare comes true.”
“Desperate Times” premieres Monday, September 27 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on FOX! Catch the season 5 premiere of 9-1-1 next Monday, September 20.
