The Flowers in the Attic: The Origin miniseries based on V.C. Andrew’s popular novel series is officially happening at Lifetime.

At the forefront, Jemima Rooper (Gold Digger) and Max Irons (Condor) star as Olivia Winfield and Malcolm Foxworth, respectively. Other cast members include Kelsey Grammer as Garland Foxworth, Paul Wesley as John Amos, Kate Mulgrew as Mrs. Steiner, Callum Kerr as Christopher, Alana Boden Alicia, Hannah Dodd as Corinne, and T’Shan Williams as Nella. Harry Hamlin (Mad Men) also stars.

Taking place over four parts, Flowers in the Attic: The Origin tells the story of Olivia Winfield who is working alongside her father (Hamlin) when she is unexpectedly wooed by Malcolm Foxworth, one of the most eligible bachelors in the nation. As the romance winds down she finds herself as the mistress of Foxworth Hall. The dream ideal life she pictured in her head quickly turns into a nightmare. In an attempt to keep her children safe she becomes a version of herself she doesn’t even recognize, which leads her to lock her grandchildren in the attic.
