‘Senior Year’ Adds Michael Cimino, Jade Bender, and More

Paramount Players’ upcoming feature Senior Year has rounded out its cast. Michael Cimino (Love, Victor), Jade Bender (Major Crimes), Jeremy Ray Taylor (It), and Avantika will take on supporting roles. They join Joshua Colley, newcomer Ana Yi Puig, Molly Brown, Zaire Adams, and Tyler Barnhardt. Variety was first to report.

Senior Year follows a woman who wakes up after 20 comatose years. She decides to return to high school and regain her status as cheerleader and the elusive title of prom queen. Rebel Wilson, Angourie Rice, Justin Hartley, and Alicia Silverstone, among others star.

Alex Hardcastle will direct. Brandon Scott Jones penned the screenplay based on a spec script from Andrew Knauer and Arthur Pielli. Wilson, Todd Garner, Tim Bourne and Chris Bender are producing. Jake Wagner and Jeremy Stein executive produce.

Senior Year is currently in production. There is no set release date but is projected for 2022.
