Kate Hudson Joins the Cast of ‘Knives Out 2’
The ensemble list is growing! Kate Hudson has joined the growing cast of Knives Out 2.
Hudson joins the already stellar lineup including Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, and Leslie Odom, Jr., as well as the returning Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc from the first installment.
Right now there is no bigger mystery than the plot of the sequel to the 2019 hit, but writer/director Rian Johnson is keeping it locked away where no one can find it. Production is set to start this summer in Greece.
Netflix acquired the rights to two sequels to the original Knives Out, which was distributed by Lionsgate, for $468 million dollars. Stipulations of the deal included that the budget be no less than that of the original and that Daniel Craig’s CSI: KFC detective Blanc star in both.
Johnson has penned the script and will return to direct. The first Knives Out earned him a Best Original Screenplay nomination at the Oscars among many other nods throughout awards season in 2020.
Stay tuned for more news on the Knives Out sequel as it unfolds!
