Olivia Rodrigo has released “good 4 u,” the latest single from her upcoming debut album. The upbeat, rage-fueled song calls to mind pop-punk hits of the past while presenting a different view of Rodrigo than her smash hit first single “driver’s license.”
The music video for “good 4 u” also changes the picture from the sad girl mourning the loss of a relationship to someone ready to be the worst nightmare of whoever wronged her. Directed by Petra Collins, the video contains homages to Jennifer’s Body, the classic feminist horror film that has gained more mainstream recognition and appreciation in recent years.
You can watch the new video below, and be sure to watch for Rodrigo’s debut album Sour, which will be released on May 21.
