The CW Releases First Look at Azie Tesfai as Guardian in ‘Supergirl’

Azie Tesfai’s Kelly Olsen is finally suiting up as Guardian in Supergirl‘s sixth and final season, and The CW has released the first look at Kelly as Guardian!

Kelly is taking up the mantle of Guardian from her brother James (Mehcad Brooks), after he left National City to pursue a new path. While viewers have seen Kelly wield Guardian’s shield, this will be the first time she fully steps into the role of the hero.

Tesfai’s debut as Guardian will come in the season’s 12th episode, titled “Blind Spot,” which is currently scheduled to air on September 21. The episode will tackle social justice issues and also marks a couple major milestones for the Arrowverse cast. First, the episode is co-written by Tesfai herself with J. Holtham. The episode will mark the first time any Arrowverse cast member has penned a script for one of the shows. The second milestone is the return of Arrow‘s David Ramsey, who directs the episode and also reprises his role as John Diggle.

Check out the stunning first look at Tesfai as Guardian below! Supergirl will go on a hiatus after its next episode on May 11. It will return on Tuesday, August 24.
