The eccentrically, animated, and very talented James Spader joined Jimmy Fallon in studio for a quick visit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. As many fans are familiar, Spader plays Raymond Reddington on NBC’s long-running drama, The Blacklist. The Blacklist is in its eighth season, with a ninth on the way!

In the first clip shown below, James and Jimmy discuss how they have both been doing with venturing outside to try and enjoy meals at restaurants again (safely, of course). James mentions how filming in New York is magnificent, but compares it to the time he shot a film at the Utah State Penitentiary. Check it out below!

In the second clip below, James mentions working on the 2012 film Lincoln, which was directed by Steven Spielberg, and how Spielberg’s confidence breeds creativity. Next, Jimmy previews a sneak peek clip from episode 16 of The Blacklist, so click the video below to check it out!

Catch James Spader in The Blacklist, which airs Fridays at 8 P.M. EST on NBC.
