Happy last week of April. FanExpo Dallas and MegaCon Orlando are celebrating the end of the month by announcing their third guest announcement: Captain Kirk himself William Shatner.

The original Star Trek Captain, Shatner will be celebrating his 90th birthday with his fans this year at FanExpo Dallas and MegaCon. Shatner is a Canadian actor, author, producer, director, screenwriter, and singer. Thus far his career has spanned seven decades, and he has long been a staple and a favorite at fan conventions.

For both MegaCon and FanExpo Dallas Shatner is set to appear on Thursday and Friday, and we assume will be offering both autographs and photo ops; however, the prices for these have yet to be published. The conventions have not yet announced any panels that feature Shatner, but over the course of two days there is no doubt that fans will have plenty of opportunities to see the star in action.

Both conventions faced delays and ultimately cancellation in 2020 and are now set to take place August 12 through 15 (MegaCon) and September 17 through 19 (FanExpo). Beyond Shatner, George Takei and the four hobbits (Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd) have been the only major announcements for either event, but we can expect more guest announcements over the coming months. Be sure to check back here for updates as we get closer to the dates, and make sure to visit the MegaCon Orlando and FanExpo Dallas websites to buy your tickets.
