WATCH: Matthew Mercer Talks About ‘Justice Society: World War ll’ and His Role as Hourman

Voice actor Matthew Mercer is best known for his works in anime, video games, and traditional animation. Mercer’s voice performances include Tygra in Thundercats, Leon S. Kennedy in the Resident Evil franchise, Superman in DC Super Friends (2015), and supporting roles in Justice League: War and Batman: Bad Blood. Mercer is now a featured voice in Justice Society: World War ll, the next entry in the popular Justice Society series of the DC Universe Movies.

Mercer will be voicing the role of Hourman, who first appeared in Adventure Comics #48 in March 1940. Hourman originally appeared as Rex Tyler, a chemist who discovers the chemical Miraclo and becomes a superhero able to use his powers an hour at a time.

In the interview clip provided by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Mercer discusses Hourman’s abilities, his place in the Justice Society of America, and what he likes about the character.

Justice Society: World War ll will be available on digital starting April 27, 2021, and on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack and Blu-ray on May 11, 2021. Be sure to watch the clip below.
