Reina Hardesty Joins the Cast of ‘The Boys’ Spin-Off Series
The yet-to-be-named spin-off series of Amazon Prime Video’s diabolical hit show The Boys has gained yet another cast member — Reina Hardesty.
Hardesty is known for her roles in The Flash and Brockmire. She joins previously announced cast members Lizze Broadway, Jaz Sinclair, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, and Maddie Phillips.
The Boys, which is based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series, is set in a world where superheroes exist. Many of them are corrupt, with some of the worst to be found amongst The Seven — Vought International’s personal team of celebrity Supes. Whereas the main show focuses on the warring struggle between Vought, the Seven, and the Boys, the spin-off will center on Vought’s Supe college. It will be an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.
Craig Rosenberg, writer and executive producer for The Boys, will serve as showrunner and executive producer for the spin-off series. Other executive producers are set to include The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Garth Ennis, and Darick Robertson.
The spin-off is still waiting to receive an official series order from Amazon at this time. Season 3 of The Boys recently began filming in Canada.
