Ana Ortiz, Charlie Barnett, Karan Soni, and More To Appear in ‘Special’ Season 2

Deadline has announced that the Netflix series Special has added several new members to its cast for the upcoming season 2.

Joining the series in recurring roles is Ana Ortiz (Love, Victor), Charlie Barnett (Tales of the City), Karan Soni (Deadpool), Utkarsh Ambudkar (The Mindy Project), Max Jenkins (Dead To Me), Lauren Weedman (Looking), Buck Andrews, Anjali Bhimani (Modern Family), and Ajay Mehta (This Is Us). Leslie Jordan is also set to guest star.

Special is a semi-autobiographical series that follows Ryan, a gay man with mild cerebal palsy who wants to begin a new, more independent chapter in his life and move out from his mother’s home into his own place.

The show was created by Ryan O’Connell, and stars O’Connell, Punam Patel, Jessica Hecht, Augustus Prew, and more. Season 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix.

The second and final season releases on May 20.
