Author Sarah J. Maas announced today that her bestselling book series A Court of Thorns and Roses will be adapted into a television show for Hulu! Maas shared that Ronald D. Moore, who created the hit series Outlander, will be producing the show. She also stated that she will be writing the pilot alongside Moore.

A Court of Thorns and Roses is a dark, adult reimagining of the Beauty and the Beast legend. It follows the story of Feyre, a human caught up in the dangerous world of the faerie courts after killing a wolf that turns out to be fae. The series has inspired four sequels: A Court of Mist and Fury, A Court of Wings and Ruin, A Court of Frost and Starlight, and A Court of Silver Flames (which was released in February 2021). There is no word yet on a release date for the TV adaptation, though Maas teased that she would have more news to share soon.
