Lionsgate Moves up Release Date for ‘Spiral: From the Book of Saw’ Starring Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson

Lionsgate has announced that their latest addition to the Saw franchise, Spiral: From the Book of Saw, is moving up its release date by one week. The film will now release in theaters on May 14. This is the second date change for the movie, which was originally set to debut in May 2020 before the pandemic pushed the release to one year later.

Spiral will mark the ninth installment of the Saw franchise. It follows Detective Zeke Banks, his partner William, and esteemed police veteran Marcus as they investigate a gruesome series of murders reminscent of those from the past. As they do, Zeke finds himself caught in the killer’s game.

The movie stars Chris Rock as Zeke, Max Minghella as William, and Samuel L. Jackson as Marcus. It was written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger and directed by Darren Lynn Bousman.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw will release in theaters on May 14.
