A limited series adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s 1973 classic Swedish Television miniseries Scenes from a Marriage is coming to HBO, which will star Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain. As reported by Deadline, three supporting cast members have now been announced, including Nicole Beharie (Sleepy Hollow), Corey Stoll (House of Cards), and Tovah Feldshuh (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). Bergman’s original series follows 10 years in the lives of a couple as they struggle with love and turmoil through matrimony, infidelity, divorce, and subsequent partners. Hagai Levi (Our Boys, The Affair) is writing, directing, and executive producing this new adaptation, which will shift the original story into the experiences of a contemporary American couple portrayed by Isaac and Chastain.
