Apple Acquires Ridley Scott’s ‘Kitbag’ With Joaquin Phoenix

Deadline is reporting that Apple Studios has acquired director Ridley Scott’s Kitbag and will be producing and financing the film. Although there are not many details about the film at this time, Kitbag will see Joaquin Phoenix take on the role of Napoleon Bonaparte, the French emperor and military leader. Production on the film is set to begin in 2022.

Phoenix is also set to star in the upcoming C’mon C’mon as Johnny. You can see Phoenix in two of his most recent projects, Joker (now streaming on HBO Max) and Guardians of Life.
