Oscar Isaac Set to Star as Solid Snake in ‘Metal Gear Solid’ Movie

As reported by Deadline, Oscar Isaac is now set to star in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid film adaptation.

Metal Gear Solid, which is a critically acclaimed stealth action video game created by Hideo Kojima (Death Stranding), was released for the PlayStation in 1998. Often regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time, Metal Gear Solid follows its protagonist Snake, a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility.

Isaac will be taking on the role of Snake in the film, which is in development now at Sony Pictures. Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island) will be directing, and the script will be written by Derek Connolly (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Jurassic World).
