Dive Into The World of ‘His Dark Materials’ With Exclusive BFI Panels!

With the U.K. premiere of His Dark Materials fast approaching (sorry to the U.S. viewers who will be watching a week later), the British Film Institute is giving fans a chance to learn more about the making of the show. In a series of panels, viewers can hear from the cast and creative team behind bringing the show to life. The panels will screen on BFI’s YouTube channel as part of their Television Festival. Here are the three panels being offered (all times in U.K. time):

When Worlds Collide

November 3 at 7 p.m.

“Show creators, producer Jane Tranter and writer Jack Thorne take us on a journey into new worlds with principal cast Dafne Keen (Lyra), Amir Wilson (Will), Ariyon Bakare (Lord Boreal) and Simone Kirby (Mary Malone).”

Creating Cittàgazze

November 4 at 7 p.m.

“An exclusive look behind the scenes of season 2 with executive producer and production designer Joel Collins, casting director Kahleen Crawford, VFX Art Director and Previs Supervisor Dan May, Framestore’s Senior VFX Supervisor Russell Dodgson and composer Lorne Balfe.”

Jopari and the Witches

November 5 at 7 p.m.

“Discover more about season 2 with new cast members Andrew Scott (John Parry) and Jade Anouka (Ruta Skadi), as they are joined by Ruta Gedmintas (Serafina Pekkala), season 2 writer Francesca Gardiner and costume designer Caroline McCall.”

His Dark Materials season 2 will premiere on November 8 in the U.K. on BBC One and November 16 in the U.S. on HBO and HBO Max. Check out our coverage of the latest trailer here!
