Time Out! Zack and Kelly Are Back in New Trailer for ‘Saved By the Bell’ Reboot

In the official trailer for Peacock’s highly anticipated Saved By the Bell reboot, two more beloved characters make their long-awaited return to Bayside High. Mark-Paul Gosselaar as California Governor Zack Morris and Tiffani Thiessen as Kelly return to their alma mater, reuniting part of their high school gang.

Watch the trailer below!

Filled with nostalgia and references to the original series, which ran from 1989-1993, the trailer has Mario Lopez’s Slater calling Elizabeth Berkley’s Jessie “Mama” once again, though now she’s “Dr. Mama,” Slater also sits on a chair backward, which is something he frequently did in the original. Also making a big return is Ed Alonzo as Max, the owner of the popular high school hangout spot, The Max, still doing magic as per usual. A few iconic scenes from the original series are even recreated, as well as a new version of Zack Attack’s “Friends Forever,” and the old gang even dresses up like they used to in their high school band.

The Saved By the Bell reboot will center around a new group of kids at Bayside High as an influx of students are coming to the school due to surrounding and underfunded schools being closed down because of California Governor Morris. John Michael Higgins, Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Mitchel Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Josie Totah, and Haskiri Velazquez are also starring as the principal and new class, respectively.

Saved By the Bell premieres on NBC Universal’s Peacock on November 25 and you can catch up on the original series, as well as The College Years, on both Hulu and Peacock now.
