TNT Sets Premiere Date for ‘Snowpiercer’ Season 2
The train is back on track. Snowpiercer has finally received a release date for season 2! The TNT series will return on Monday, January 25. After a quick renewal, the second season was originally set for a 2020 release, but fans have to wait a little longer after the pandemic derailed season 2’s premiere.
Based on the graphic novel Le Transperceneige (later retitled), Snowpiercer follows humanity seven years after the planet has become a frozen wasteland, and those who remain live on a perpetually moving train that circles the globe. Despite being (somewhat) protected from the bitter outside, survival is still key, and class warfare and social injustices plague the train’s residents.
The show was developed for television by Josh Friedman and Graeme Manson. It stars Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Mickey Summer, Alison Wright, Iddo Goldberg, Lena Hall, and Sheila Vand.
