In a prestigious honor, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal of Normal People have been named as finalists for Screen International’s “Stars of Tomorrow” 2020 list. The list has been released each year since 2004 to spotlight up-and-coming actors and filmmakers and is seen as a career-boosting honor. Past recipients include Emily Blunt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Taron Egerton, Florence Pugh, Jodie Comer, Himesh Patel, David Oyelowo, Daniel Kaluuya, Sophie Okonedo, Noel Clarke, John Boyega, Letitia Wright, and Michaela Coel among many others.

All the selected actors and filmmakers will participate in a virtual panel day on October 5, which you can register for here. The event is sponsored by Amazon Prime Video, BFI London Film Festival, and Screen Skills. Both Edgar-Jones and Mescal were also profiled for the list, which you can read here and here.
