Today, comic book publisher BOOM! Studios announced that Keanu Reeves’ comic debut with co-writer Matt Lindt (Folklords, Justice League of America), artist Ron Garney (Wolverine, Captain America), letterer Clem Robins (Hellboy), and award-winning colorist Bill Crabtree (BPRD), BRZRKR, will be heading to Kickstarter. The campaign’s objective is to help get the graphic novel noticed by a wider audience, and with Reeves’ backing, it has the potential to garner a massive appeal beyond the community.
When donating to the tiers, the campaign is offering softcover and hardcover collections, some that are even exclusive to Kickstarter that you won’t find anywhere else (if you act fast, there is a single day discount for today only!) You can participate in the Kickstarter here.
BRZRKR will center around a warrior, who just so happens to look like a beloved actor, that has walked a blood-soaked path across the country for centuries. In present day, the Berzerker is hiding in the U.S. doing dangerous jobs for the government in exchange for intel on the truth of his existence.
The campaign will run for one month total, ending on October 1 at 12:00 p.m. PT. Orders will then begin shipping alongside the book market release of BRZRKR Volume I in September of 2021.
