What happens when life begins to imitate art?
Based on the popular 2010 horror graphic novel of the same name, Random Acts of Violence follows a group of comic book writers embarking on a road trip through Toronto, Ontario Canada, as they make their way to New York Comic-Con. The group begins to notice terrible things happening, including people getting killed. It soon becomes clear that a crazed fan orchestrates the killings and uses one of the writer’s comics as their inspiration.
It is Directed by Jay Baruchel (Goon, This Is the End), who also stars in the film along with Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy, Cabin in the Woods), Jordana Brewster (Fast and the Furious series, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), and Niamh Wilson (Saw series).
This horror film premieres exclusively in the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland on AMC’s Shudder August 20, and in theaters and on-demand in Canada July 31. Watch the new trailer below!
