‘You Should Have Left’ Available On Demand June 19

The new psychological thriller from Blumhouse Productions, You Should Have Left, will be available On Demand starting June 19. The film is based on a novel of the same title written by German best-seller Daniel Kehlmann. You Should Have Left is written and directed by legendary screenwriter David Koepp and produced by Jason Blum, Dean O’Toole and Kevin Bacon, with Jeanette Volturno, Derek Ambrosi and Couper Samuelson as excutive producers for the film. The cast for You Should Have Left feature Amanda Seyfried, Kevin Bacon, Geoff Bell, Colin Blumenau and Avery Tiiu Essex.

You Should Have Left is a mind-twisting, terrifying tale in which a father fights to save his family from a beautiful home that refuses to let them leave. Theo Conroy (Kevin Bacon) and Susanna Conroy (Amanda Seyfried) are a couple that’s looking for a relaxing vacation on a isolated edge on the world, only to discover that secrets travel with you and they demand a reckoning.

Theo is a successful middle-aged man whose marriage to his younger actress wife Susanna is starting to fray at the edges due to his jealousy, her secrecy and the shadows of his past. In an effort to repair their crumbling relationship the couple book a vacation for themselves and their six year old daughter Ella (Avery Tiiu Essex) at a remote modern home in the Welsh countryside. The initially perfect retreat quickly distorts into a nightmare when Theo begins to lose his grasp on reality and he suspects a sinister force within the house which knows more than he or Susanna have ever revealed to each other.
