As if it wasn’t incredible enough that the cast of Community is reuniting for a virtual table read, series creator Dan Harmon has taken to Instagram for one more special announcement about the upcoming event — as Walton Goggins will be not available, Pedro Pascal will be filling in for the role of Pierce’s estate executor and polygraph expert Mr. Stone.
Harmon describes Pascal with the most appropriate of introductions, “He’s on some Disney show where Boba Fett’s in college with Yoda’s niece.” We might need to rethink any future summaries of The Mandalorian going forward, since Harmon has clearly nailed it.
The virtual table read, along with a Q&A of fan questions, will be shown on May 18 at 2:00 p.m. PT via Sony Pictures Television’s Community YouTube page. Participating cast members are: Joel McHale, Donald Glover, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong, along with Pascal and Harmon. They will be reading the season 5 episode, “Cooperative Polygraphy,” in which the study group meets in the library after Pierce’s funeral.
