Universal’s ‘The Invisible Man’ Comes to DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD May 26
Who says scary movies are only for Halloween? If you’ve been looking for a new film to scare you throughout the whole year I have exciting news!
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment announced that one of its newest films, The Invisible Man, will be available on digital platforms on May 12. The DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD formats will release on May 26.
Jason Blum, the producer behind popular horror and thriller films such as Split, Get Out, Halloween teams up with the film’s writer and Saw and Insidious director Leigh Whannell to bring a new kind of thriller for movie watchers everywhere.
The Invisible Man has an all star cast including: Aldis Hodge (James Lanier), Harriet Dyer (Emily Kass), Storm Reid (Sydney Lanier), Elisabeth Moss (Cecilia Kass), Michael Dorman (Tom Griffin), and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Adrian Griffin). The film tells the story of Cecilia Kass, who attempts to start over after drugging and narrowly escaping her ex-boyfriend. News breaks that he appears to have committed suicide two weeks later, leaving Cecilia $5 million in his will. However, it doesn’t take her long to questions if she is truly alone and if he is really gone for good.
Not only do fans get the feature film, but in addition, The Invisible Man includes 20 minutes of bonus material. Some of the material includes a feature commentary with writer and director Leigh Whannell and never before seen deleted scenes. Elisabeth Moss also shares what it took to play the role of Cecilia, both emotionally and physically. Whannell also takes watchers on a tour of the film’s principal photography from days 1 through 40.
