Rachel Miner will be joining the Chicago Fire family! Miner announced that she will be appearing in tonight’s episode “Protect A Child”, directed by Brenna Malloy. The description released by NBC for the episode states:
“Things get personal for Casey and Gallo in the aftermath of a suburban house fire involving a mother and her young son. Herrmann campaigns for more respect. Kidd has an idea for giving back to her community.”
No word yet on who Miner will play, but she announced on Twitter that this will be her first role in her wheelchair and praised the producers and casting directors for casting the role authentically. Miner’s last television role was Meg Masters on Supernatural, with her final episode “Goodbye Stranger” airing in 2013.
