Netflix’s ‘Sex Education’ Renewed for a Third Season

It hasn’t even been a month since the release of the long-awaited second season of Netflix’s Sex Education, and today the show has been renewed for a third season.

Ever since the first season in 2019, Sex Education has been celebrated for several reasons, among them its formidable cast. Gillian Anderson stars as Jean Milburn, a couples therapist and mother to Otis (Asa Butterfield) who not only struggles with the obstacles puberty throws at him, but also tries to help his peers together with his friend (and crush), Maeve (Emma Mackey). His best friend, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), is a wonderful portrayal of a young, gay, black character and his struggles to get his religious family to accept him. The show covers many important issues such as sexual assault, domestic violence, and tackles often misunderstood (and misrepresented) things like asexuality.

If you haven’t had the chance to watch yet, both seasons are available for streaming on Netflix and offer great entertainment and education for all ages.

Netflix hasn’t announced a release date for season three, but hopefully we can expect some updates soon.
