What would you do for love?
Based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name, YOU is a 21st-century love story about Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), a brilliant bookshop manager who uses his smarts and the internet to get the woman of his dreams, an aspiring writer to fall in love with him.
The first season of YOU premiered on September 9, 2018, and carried 10-episodes. The first season followed Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager in New York City. Joe meets an aspiring writer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail). Immediately Joe becomes infatuated with Guinevere, which quickly turns to obsession. To feed his fascination, Joe uses social media and technology to keep tabs on Guinevere and to remove any obstacles that stand in the way of their romance.
