The Walt Disney Archives is celebrating 50 years of continued magic and is acknowledging its impressive run by opening Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving Magic to the public at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California. The Walt Disney Archives was founded in 1970 by Dave Smith and it has held the treasures of Disney’s history ever since.

The exhibit opens March 7, 2020 and according to Disney D23, it will offer exclusive looks at never-before-seen production art from Fantasia, Walt Disney’s office set from Saving Mr. Banks, the original pitch portfolio for Disneyland, maquettes from Peter Pan and Frozen, and more!

The exhibit is 10,000 square feet and features more than 400 archive items that tell the story of how the archives first began! Gold D23 members can get special previews, exclusives, and discounts on tickets and merchandise.
