SDCC Interviews: The Cast and Creator of ‘Riverdale’ [EXCLUSIVE]

Up next in our continuing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con is a series of interviews with the awesome cast of Riverdale!

Camila Mendes

The cast doesn’t know much about the specifics of the upcoming season, but Camila talks about dealing with the fact that they are in their last year of high school. She also talks about the musical she would love to do in the show, but there will be some dancing coming. Check it out to see which musical she references!

 

KJ Apa

During the season, the show will focus on the relationship between Archie and his mom. Apa talks about what he thinks the future of his character will be.

 

Lili Reinhart

Reinhart talks about the complications that come from Betty dealing with her father’s death and the grieving process,  as well as working on bringing her mom home.

 

Madelaine Petsch

Madelaine mentions that the show will be addressing Cheryl’s mental state after last season’s events. She shared that there will be a Halloween episode that is right up Cheryl’s alley. Madelaine also talks about Cheryl’s relationship with Toni and how they bring the best of each other and her hope to show more of that.

 

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa

Creator of the Riverdale series Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa gave us some hints about what to expect in the upcoming fourth season of the show. He talks about the ambitious season three finale and how the flash forward we saw will hit around the halfway point of season four. Roberto also talks about how shooting the characters’ senior year in high school is fun, but mixed with bittersweet.
