According to the Daily Mail, we will soon be getting a fresh, new agent with a license to kill.

Lashana Lynch, who plays Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel, is reportedly taking over the title of 007 in the 25th movie of the James Bond franchise. While she will be getting the title of 007, they will not be erasing the character of James Bond. So, there is no need to fret for all you Bond-lovers. Lynch’s character is called Nomi and the movie – which is currently filming – is slated for a 2020 release according to the IMDb page.

An insider who works at the movie calls the reveal a “popcorn-dropping moment”, and it cerntainly seems like this will be a movie that will go down in history. We here at Nerds are very excited about seeing a woman of color in such a prolific role, and it will be very interesting to see where the franchise goes from here!
