‘Stranger Things’ Prequel Book Out Today!
“Darkness On The Edge Of Town”, a novel telling the story of Detective Hopper (portrayed by David Harbour on the show), a character on the popular Netflix series Stranger Things released today. According to author Adam Christopher’s official website, “Chief Jim Hopper reveals long-awaited secrets to Eleven about his old life as a police detective in New York City, confronting his past before the events of the hit show Stranger Things”. The novel sets a timeline in which Hopper has officially adopted Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown on the show) and shares his life story with her, including his path to the quiet small town in which the show is set. Furthermore, the book will explore his past trauma as a veteran as well as his experience of starting a family with his then-wife. Since Hopper is widowed and childless in the show, the book will surely give insight into this chapter of his life.
The book will also give fans more content of Hopper’s life with Eleven, an relationship that has been vital to the show and a character dynamic which will be interesting to explore.
