Celebrating 30 Years of Disney’s Hollywood Studios: New Logo and More!

Today marks the 30th anniversary of when Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World (previously know as Disney’s MGM Studios) opened it’s doors on May 1, 1989.
To celebrate the milestone anniversary, Disney hosted a special celebration in the park, and is revealing a lot of brand new information! First, there’s going to be a brand new logo taking over the park, which has gone through many recent changes including the construction of Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and a soon-to-be Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction coming next year inside the Chinese Theatre. Inside the new logo, you’ll see Mickey himself, Woody, and BB-8.
There will also be an all-new nighttime projection show, “Wonderful World of Animation”.

According to Disney, “during the show, the façade of the Chinese Theatre is magically transformed, displaying a stirring tribute to animation that includes spectacular sequences celebrating themes like magic, family, adventure, romance and friendship.”
Aside from these two, there’s brand new merchandise, the Toy Story Land table service restaurant we told you about earlier, and more. Read all about the new things coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on the Disney Parks Blog.
