The Peabody Awards announced its 60 nominees for the most compelling and empowering stories across TV, radio and digital media released in 2018. And included in the prestigious list of nominees is This Close, a compelling drama about two 20-something deaf friends trying to navigate careers and romantic relationships in Los Angeles.

The series is written by and stars Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman and will premiere its 8-episode second season later this year on Sundance Now.

This Close was nominated in the Entertainment category. Other nominees in that category include Killing Eve, Pose, Hannah Gadsby: Nanette, and The Americans.

The 78th annual Peabody Awards ceremony will take place in New York on May 18 and will be hosted by Ronan Farrow. View the full list of Peabody nominees here.
