J.J. Abrams, director of Star Wars: Episode IX, confirmed today on Twitter that the long-awaited film has officially wrapped principal photography. Abrams posted a gracious message and shared a touching new photo of the current main trio, Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), and Poe (Oscar Isaac). They are shown to be embracing on what appears to be a desert set.
It feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all. pic.twitter.com/138AprtFuZ
