Netflix announced on January 16 a new series from Executive Producers Greg Daniels (King of the Hill, Parks and Recreation) and Steve Carell (The Office) called Space Force.  The idea came as a result of Donald Trump discussing the potential for a new branch of the military in the summer of 2018.  Carell will star in the Office-esque show about the men and women who have to build the “Space Force” program.  The teaser video from Netflix shares their mission to “Defend satellites from attack and perform other space related tasks…or something.”  Hilarity is sure to ensue.

Space Force, and the as of yet unnamed Apple drama being executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, are the first two TV roles held by Carell since the The Office ended in 2011.
