Millennials look out! Another reboot of a beloved childhood franchise is headed your way. Netflix has just released the trailer for their upcoming animated series Carmen Sandiego. Starring Gina Rodriguez as Carmen and Finn Wolfhard (from Stranger Things) as Player, this series gives our beloved, monument stealing, thief the backstory she deserves.
The trailer shows Sandiego being trained by the elite crime school V.I.L.E and graduating as one of their top pupils. Later, she has a change of heart, after seeing how their actions hurt the people around them. She decides to take a page out of Robin Hood’s playbook, and steal the precious archeological items back from the thieves and return them to their rightful communities. The show will be out January 18th, 2019.
