Sundance Now has announced that star and co-creator of their highly acclaimed series This Close, Shoshannah Stern, will be taking over their Instagram account Thursday (Oct. 18) to take fans behind the scenes of the production of season two.
The series, which follows best friends Kate (Stern) and Michael (co-creator and co-star Josh Feldman) as they navigate life, love, and their careers in Los Angeles, was renewed for an eight-episode second season in April. The new season is set to premiere in 2019.

Sundance Now also recently revealed a star-studded guest cast coming to season two, including Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives), Camryn Manheim (Waco), Austin Nichols (The Walking Dead), Lisa Rinna (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Margaret Cho (Bright) and Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place).
Broadway World gave a rundown of the new characters, including Cross’s Blythe, Kate’s mother; Nichols’ Shep, Kate’s ex-fiance and childhood love; Manheim’s Dr. Wurtzel, Michael and Ryan’s psychiatrist; Rinna’s Priscilla, Ryan’s mother; Cho’s Zagat, an eccentric rich hypochondriac; and Simmonds’ Emmaline, a young deaf girl who befriends Kate.
