‘Timeless’ Fans Win Poll to Save Show – Hoping It’s Enough for a Second Season
Timeless, a new NBC show that debuted last fall finished up it’s first season and was eagerly awaiting their fate. Fans have been campaigning for the show to come back and they’ve made one huge wave – winning a USA Today poll, of which show should be saved.
49% of voters voted to save Timeless, and bring the show back for a second season. Now, this poll doesn’t have any officially pull with saving a show, but having fans come out in that high of numbers to save a show after it’s first season is definitely an eye opener for the network.
Supernatural‘s creator, Eric Kripke, co-created this series with Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and the show stars Matt Lanter, Abigail Spencer, Malcolm Barrett and Goran Visnjic.
The show is where a group (Lanter, Spencer and Barrett) travel through time each episode, to all different significant historical events. The three main characters, Wyatt (Lanter), Rufus (Barrett) and Lucy (Spencer) join together to track down a criminal (Visnjic) who has stolen a time machine and is intent on changing the past. They’ve also had some special guest stars in episodes, including Sean McGuire (Once Upon A Time), Shantel VanSanten (The Flash) and Supernatural actors Misha Collins and Jim Beaver.
This show was such a breath of fresh air to us, and we agreed that we’d like it to be saved and another season given to the show – and the fans of this show.
Hopefully this will be a giant step in helping them get a second season.
